A much-loved local tradition, the Swanage Christmas Market takes over Station Road with festive stalls, handmade gifts, food vendors, seasonal treats and family entertainment.
Organised by Swanage & Purbeck Rotary Club, it's one of the biggest Christmas events of the year and the perfect place to find unique Christmas gifts whilst supporting local businesses.

Artisans on the Beach
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday Until 20 December 2026
The beach huts along Shore Road are transformed into a unique Christmas shopping village, showcasing handmade gifts, artwork, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and festive decorations created by talented local makers. Running each weekend until 20 December, it's one of Swanage's most distinctive festive events.

Lighting Up Lives at Swanage Pier

Watch Swanage Pier sparkle into the festive season during the spectacular Lighting Up Lives switch-on event. Enjoy live music, festive entertainment, seasonal characters, a Winter Wonderland marquee and the magical moment the pier's Christmas illuminations are switched on.
The illuminations then remain in place throughout the festive season, creating one of Swanage's most beautiful winter displays.

Santa's Grotto at The Blue Pool
